Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge in #Montana -- the second largest national #wildliferefuge in the lower 48 states -- covers diverse habitats ranging from native prairie to wetlands to badlands. Explorers Lewis and Clark came through the area in 1805, commenting: “Saw but few buffalow today, but a great number of Elk, deer, some antelopes and 5 bear.” Today, visitors can enjoy backpacking, boating, #wildlife viewing and more in this expansive landscape.
