Now is a great time to visit #NealSmith National #WildlifeRefuge in #Iowa. This @usfws refuge’s 8,654-acre tallgrass prairie is home to a wide diversity of prairie #wildlife, including #bison. Pictured here is one of nine baby bison born to the refuge this spring. When they are born, #bisoncalves weigh 40-50 pound and are usually up and walking within a couple of hours.
