Yesterday Sequoia National Park in California, the nation's second national park, celebrated its 124th birthday. Situated in the southern Sierra Nevada, Sequoia is home to huge mountains, rugged foothills and deep canyons -- not to mention some of the world's largest trees. This Saturday, experience the beauty of Sequoia first hand with free entrance to the park (and all other public lands) as part of National Public Lands Day.
